Building Healthy Relationships project
This project is a collaborative between York College and the lead partner York St John University, as well as local specialist charities Independent Domestic Abuse Services (IDAS) and Survive who support survivors of rape and sexual abuse.
The project is running for one year and will use the expertise of these specialist charities and the knowledge and creativity of students and staff to develop resources that promote healthy relationships and awareness of sexual assault, sexual harassment and domestic violence.
This project will involve and educate students through awareness-raising and by developing materials. It will also provide training so students have the knowledge and confidence to help shape their own campus culture of safe and healthy relationships. It will also create more accessible reporting opportunities for when relationships become unhealthy.
We would like as many of our students as possible to take part by helping shape the design of future resources.
