As the 2019 academic year gets underway, York College is already launching its 2020/21 Further Education prospectus, helping the region’s current Year 11 students make the right choices about their next steps.
Lucy Walker, Senior Schools Liaison Officer at the College says: “Choosing what to do after GCSEs can be daunting and this prospectus enables our prospective students to start thinking about what they might want to study next year. There is an outline of all the courses, including the new T Levels and information about the Institute of Technology, to be offered to Year 11 students starting with us in September 2020. The prospectus also covers the high level of support and Xtra-curricular opportunities at the College, as well as Open Event and Taster Day information so students have every chance to see the campus and meet with tutors and current students.”
More detailed information about Further Education courses starting in 2020 will also be available on the York College website from early October.
Lee Probert, Chief Executive and Principal at York College encourages students to research their options before making any decisions: “Whatever our students choose to study, they will be learning in an Ofsted Outstanding College where they can make excellent progress and enjoy courses with links beyond the classroom into the workplace. We want our students to aim high and to realise their ambitions, and most importantly to enjoy their Further Education experience. I look forward to meeting our prospective students over the coming months at our Open Events and Taster Days.”
