To mark National Apprenticeship Week, York College has unveiled an art installation of the word ‘APPRENTICESHIPS’. Each letter is themed on some of the apprenticeship programmes offered at York College and displays elements from Engineering, the Construction trades, Hairdressing, Hospitality and Digital Technologies.

The installation, created by Contemporary Craft students and tutors, celebrates the range of skills apprentices learn on the job, whilst training. Martin Kennedy, Employer Engagement Manager at the College says: “National Apprenticeship Week shines a light on the great working partnerships the College has with local employers and apprentices. The many apprenticeship programmes delivered by the College offer employers the opportunity to train people in the right skills for their business.”
