Santa’s Grotto in the Construction & Skills Centre is putting students and staff in the mood for Christmas, as well as a smile on the faces of over 900 visitors who attended the College’s December Open Morning.
Showcasing their construction skills; Santa is made out of copper piping and was made by plumbing tutor Allan Bates, Santa’s chair was made by joinery tutors and the fireplace and chimney was constructed by Level 3 Brickwork students.
Kevin Clancy, Head of Division for Construction, said: “The Christmas Grotto is bringing a smile to the whole College, and the construction skills involved were appreciated by prospective students and their families when they visited the Construction & Skills Centre during the College’s Open Morning. I’d like to thank the team for making such a great effort.”
