Pathway to Work & Independent Living students kick-started the Christmas festivities at York College. They decorated the College Christmas tree and hosted their Christmas Sale, selling festive gifts and stocking fillers they had spent weeks buying, making and decorating.
The students were hands-on welcoming visitors to their Christmas Sale and serving refreshments. Enjoying the challenge, they involved themselves in every aspect of the event; merchandising, advertising, customer service and money handling. There were plenty of festive treats; Christmas baking and cheerfully wrapped gifts such as pet treats, toiletries, chocolate/sweet jars, pot plants and candles, and a large Christmas tombola.
The students raised a grand total of £877.72 at their Christmas Sale, which will go towards their end of year trip.
