The Company of Merchant Taylors have once again presented Creative Bursaries to a select group of students at York College.
The Bursaries were awarded to ten especially nominated students from the College's Performing Arts, Art & Design and Construction Divisions. The following students were awarded £250 Bursaries from The Company of Merchant Taylors in recognition of exceptional commitment to their studies:
Performing Arts: Celine Casey
Art & Design: Ryan Peart-Donaldson, Paul Martin, Isobel Woodcock, Megan Curtis, Alex Morillon and Emine Altuntas
Construction: Louis Faithfull, Matthew Rowe and Kris Ogden
Dr Andrew Grace, Master of the Company of Merchant Taylors in the City of York presented the students with their bursaries. He said: "I am delighted to make these awards which are in keeping with the charitable aims of our Company and our historical roots in the City of York. The Company of Merchant Taylors has been around for 600 years and is passionate about encouraging and supporting young people in the arts. The talents and determination demonstrated by these students deserve our support and recognition."
