York College is the largest provider of students to university in the region. This year nearly one thousand students have submitted UCAS applications and the College is pleased to announce that four students have received offers to study at either Oxford or Cambridge universities.  


• Amy-May Dicks (formerly of Barlby High School) to study Medicine at University College, Oxford
• Rachael Hodgson (formerly of Canon Lee Specialist Arts College) to study English at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge
• Luca Wollny (formerly home educated) to study Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Harris Manchester College, Oxford
• Freya Marshall Payne (formerly educated at IESO Valles de Gata, Hoyos in Spain) to study History at Somerville College, Oxford

Miggy Biller, Head of Division for Maths and co-ordinator of Oxbridge applications at York College, says: “We encourage all high flying students to apply to the very top universities. These students must be congratulated for their hard work and for receiving offers in an interesting range of subjects from Oxford and Cambridge universities. We will continue to work with them, and every student who has applied to universities up and down the country, to support them on the final leg of their studies.”
