We are planning to run our full offer of adult courses starting from the Autumn term and we will update the website with new start dates and times as soon as they are confirmed. You will be able to apply through the website for your chosen course from  June. If we are able to do this any earlier we will let you know.

Please provide us with as much detail as you can to enable us to process your application form.

York College has over 2,000 students over 19 years of age who are studying a wide range of programmes from the Access to Higher Education Diplomas to short courses in art, teacher training, business and even health and safety. We even have adults on apprenticeship programmes and provide bespoke training for employers as well.

We have a wide variety of courses across a range of subject areas. It doesn't matter if you are looking to change your career with training in a new field or just want to do a new course to learn some new skills or for fun, York College has a course for you.

Once we have your details, you will be contacted to come in for a chat with a tutor and to do some initial assessment activities to find out which class is best for you. If you already have a qualification in the subject you are interested in, you can enrol on the next level without an assessment. English courses (daytime or evening) Functional Skills English (Entry to Level 2) GCSE English Maths courses (daytime or evening) Functional Skills Maths (Entry to Level 2 GCSE Maths ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) English for Speakers of Other Languages (Entry to Level 2) All courses are during the day. They are split into three parts: Speaking and Listening (September) Reading (January) Writing (April) You can do all three, or just the ones you need, at the level you need.
