“I chose to study at York College because I liked the atmosphere and because College had a large range of subjects to choose from.

"With Psychology I enjoy understanding the reasons behind human behaviour and upbringing. I did Sociology as a GCSE and really enjoyed understanding and learning about families and cultures, so I decided to continue the subject at A Level. With Law I have found learning about crime really interesting. I chose these three subjects because I was unsure of what my plans were for after College, and I felt they would keep my options open.

"During this first year of A Level study I have enjoyed the freedom you are given in College, as I feel like I can be myself more. At the same time it’s been great to have the help and support from staff members, who have given me good advice and support over this past year. I have also made friends for life here and for that I am appreciative.”
