Sports Coaching Extended Diploma Level 3 – 2025

Chevelle completed a Sports Coaching & Development Level 3 qualification with us in summer 2025, achieving impressive Distinction*/Distinction*/Distinction grades. As of 2026, she is now completing a BSc in Sports Studies at Leeds Beckett University.

While celebrating her academic success, Chevelle helped the Jamaica Under-20 Rugby Sevens team record a historic first-ever win at the Junior Pan American Games in Paraguay. She was part of the Lady Crocs side that defeated the host nation 39-5 during the prestigious tournament that saw more than 4,000 athletes from 41 different countries compete in 28 sports over a two-week period. She has also represented the full Jamaican national team in rugby league and enjoys competing in both domestic and international stages.

Chevelle credits York College with helping her hone her playing performance. “I’ve taken everything I’ve learned on the Sports Psychology unit into the way I play now,” she says. “It’s really helped with my performance levels, because I now focus on the things I can control on and off the field. I’m really grateful to the College and my course tutors for that.” Following her degree, Chevelle aims to progress on to a Master’s in Psychology of Sport and Exercise. She has aspirations of becoming a professional rugby player and a sports psychologist.
