York-born Beth studied a Level 3 course in Performing & Production Arts with us from 2016 to 2018, where she enjoyed playing evil characters in productions like A Vampire Story and Everyman at our Alan Ayckbourn Theatre. She then went on to Drama School – the Arden School of Theatre – in Manchester.
Beth credits York College with helping conquer her performance shyness at the age of 16, as well as offering invaluable advice on her next steps in education. “At College, I didn’t really know what Drama School was, but my tutor Dave Moore was advising me to go there,” she said. “I’d probably have never known what the Arden was if it wasn’t for Dave, but I auditioned and fell in love with it.” It was there where her talent was spotted by her now agent.
Following drama school, Beth did a few plays, radio voiceovers and adverts, as well as working in a skin clinic. Then in 2025, four years after graduating, she landed her first-ever TV role as Megan Walsh in the iconic soap opera Coronation Street and was handed a controversial storyline, as a sports coach/teacher who is having a relationship with a schoolboy. We are excited to see where Beth’s talent will take her next.
