This year York College has awarded three Student of the Year titles to students from different areas of the College. Congratulations to the winning students who have been awarded trophies and prizes:
HE/Adult Student of the Year: Kimberley Dicks (BSc Extended Degree in Nursing)
Vocational Student of the Year: Alex Standing (Extended Diploma inTravel and Tourism)
A Level Student of the Year: Annie Turney (A Levels in Law, Geography, English Language and Economics)
Both Alex and Annie went to York High School before studying at York College.
College Principal, Alison Birkinshaw presented the students with a trophy and gift vouchers, she said: “I am delighted to award our Student of the Year titles to three really excellent students. I congratulate them for embracing their studies, being generous with their time and fully entering into College life, learning constantly and building their ambitions for the future. They should not under-estimate what a positive impact they have had on York College and I wish them well in the future.”
