York
College hosts Business
Breakfast for Chief Executives
in the city.
During national Colleges
Week the Business Development
Unit at York College
hosted a Business Breakfast
in Ashfields (the college’s
training restaurant)
at which Kersten England,
the new Chief Executive
of the City of York Council,
presented her ‘Vision
for York’ to an invited
audience of Chief Executives
from companies and organisations
in the city.
Said Kersten England,
Chief Executive of the
City of York Council:
“I was delighted to accept
this invitation from
the College and to take
this opportunity to enter
into debate and dialogue
about the City’s future
with leaders of organisations
from across the City.
I firmly believe that
York is a world class
City and my intention
is to promote the City
and its interests at
every level.”
Said Louise Lawrence-Crockford,
Assistant Principal for
Employer Engagement at
York College: “The college
works closely with local
employers, playing an
integral role in the
provision of training
and development in the
city . This event brought
local Chief Executives
together to network and
learn about Kersten’s
plans. It was an opportunity
for the college to highlight
its work with employers
in the city and to discuss
ways in which local organisations
can progress together.
The college’s hospitality
and catering students
provided a superb breakfast
for the guests and Kersten
England’s ‘Vision’ was
viewed as being most
interesting.”
