The second year Foundation Degree students presented a product development marketing project and their final collections. Company of Merchants Taylors presented the the ‘Best Collection’ prizes to the final year BA (Hons) and Foundation degree students.

Marie Neal-Smith, Fashion tutor at York College said: “This show saw the first graduating students from our new BA(Hons) Fashion Design course. Final collections from Level 3, 4, 5 and 6 students were showcased. The students have worked extremely hard and this is reflected in the standard of work produced. Projects have been supported by Marks and Spencer and the Yorkshire Museum this year, providing students with a a taste of the industry. Putting on the show at the Race Course provides a further opportunity for experiencing putting on a live event and gives a professional understanding of the fashion industry."
