Evening
York College hosted
a special A Level Awards
evening for students
who excelled in their
AS and A2 studies this
year.
The event was held in
the college’s Alan Ayckbourn
Theatre and the awards
were presented by Dr
Alison Birkinshaw (York
College Principal), Glyn
Jones (Assistant Principal
for A Levels) and Hayley
Anderson (Head of
A Level
Studies). There was also
an address by guest speaker,
Professor Dianne Willcocks,
Vice Chancellor of York
St John University.
Glyn Jones, Assistant
Principal for A Levels
at York College said:
“We are enormously proud
of our students and this
is a great chance to
celebrate their achievements.
All of our winners have
excelled in their own
way, and many of them
have already built on
their success at York
College by going on to
the top universities
in their chosen field.
Their creativity, commitment
and dedication are an
inspiration to others
and a credit to the city.”
