Kyle’s
Recipe Fame
Kyle Room, a National
Diploma Hospitality student,
recently competed in
a national cookery competition
for Sainsbury's and reached
the final.
To enter the competition
Kyle sent Sainsbury’s
his unique recipe; Fillet
of seabass on a tomato & basil
tartlet with a Mediterranean
sauce. He went through
two heats and got down
to the final twelve.
Kyle demonstrated his
recipe in the grand final,
in front of an audience
of 4,000 people. He can
now boast that his recipe
has been published in
the Sainsbury’s ‘The
Big Cook Off’ recipe
book.
19 year old Kyle, an
ex-Fulford School pupil,
could not believe he
had got to the final.
He said: “My mum was
crying with joy and I
just couldn’t believe
it! I was inspired to
cook by my Italian grandma,
and this was one of her
favourite recipes. I
added my own twist to
the recipe and I know
she would still love
it.”
