Griffins Nest Winners
One of the four York College teams who participated in the final of the Griffin’s Nest competition at Venturefest was awarded the ‘Most Innovative Project’ prize for their revolutionary toaster idea.
The winning team were BTEC Level 2 Business students; Chloe Creel, Matty Bain,
John Skidmore, John James Buckby and
Sarah Eastaugh. They won a £600 prize (£100 divided between the students and £500 for
York College).
York College had four teams in the final of the Griffin’s Nest competition at Venturefest. All the teams performed well, giving a presentation and speaking at length to the judges about their individual projects.
Said Business tutor Christine Hogarth: “Our students put a lot of work into their Griffin’s Nest projects. They used their entrepreneurial skills to great effect. It was fantastic to get a winner and the students enjoyed the experience.”
