Gordon Staniforth to join the FA trip to Romania
York College Football Development Centre Coordinator, Gordon Staniforth, has been asked to join a Football Association working party on a trip to Romania, he will attend a symposium on coaching, as well as share information on various training initiatives linking football to education. Gordon is a former York City striker who also played for Carlisle United and Plymouth Argyle, having a lengthy Football League career.
Gordon said: "I have worked at York College for over ten years and my role is to promote the Sports Development Cente and all that it stands for. When I received a telephone call from the FA it was not only a real boost for me personally but also a reflection on the great work that goes in the Sports Development Centre at the college." |
