Christmas Sale Success

There was a full house at the Skills for working life students’ Christmas Sale. Staff and students were able to do their Christmas shopping and enjoy refreshments in a lovely, festive atmosphere.

Jamie, one of the students, said: “For about six weeks we have all worked together on different things to prepare for our Christmas Sale. We thought about marketing ideas, went shopping, packaged the gifts, did lots of baking and worked on our IT skills to make the signage and menus. We had fun working out costs and pricing the gifts, organising the tombola, we also spent time having till training. It was really good to see so many people buying things and enjoying our event. It has made it all worthwhile.”

When asked which part of the organisation Jamie enjoyed most, he said: “All of it!”

The proceeds from the Christmas Sale will go towards the students end of year trip.
