CPP
Donate IT Equipment
York College will soon
be reaping the benefits
of new IT equipment thanks
to leading local employer
CPP.
The college's IT department
has been given new computer
terminals and LCD screens,
enabling its IT diploma
students to be more creative
and further develop their
IT skills.
CPP is committed to
working closely with
the local community and
getting actively involved
with projects that support
younger people. CPP works
closely with NYBEP (North
Yorkshire Business Education
Partnership), which helps
schools and businesses
learn from each other
and ensure school leavers
have the right skills
when they start work.
Maggie Ross, Head of
Division for IT and Computing
at York College said:
“We are grateful to CPP
for donating this IT
equipment which will
be of real benefit to
our Advanced Diploma
students when they complete
the hardware unit of
their course next year.
Students on other IT & Computing
courses will also be
able to use the equipment
to enhance their educational
experience.”
Stephen Kennedy, CPP’s
managing director said:
“CPP takes pride in working
with the local community
in York. We enjoy working
closely with local schools
and by donating some
of our IT equipment we
hope it will make a difference
to the education of York’s
business leaders of the
future”
