Life
26 students from the
First and National Diploma
Uniformed Public Services
course who are interested
in a career in the armed
forces attended a weeks
residential at Strensall
Barracks entitled ‘Army
Look At Life’.
The students undertook
a variety of activities
including the Obstacle
Course, a timed 1.5 mile
run, PT sessions and
2 days in the field,
bivvying out on Strensall
Common despite the wet
and cold undertaking
ambushes and building
attacks as well as orienteering
in Dalby Forest with
the Army Recruiting Team
comprising members of
the Yorkshire Regiment
and 4/7th Royal Dragoon
Guards.
The army has since come
into college to present
the students with their
certificates.
