Who is it for and what is the aim?All organisations, however large or small, are constantly surrounded with the need to respond to change and to make changes. The impact of this can be both frustrating and exhausting, particularly if you are a manager who is directly responsible for directing and implementing some of the changes. This one day course injects new energy and motivation by identifying a range of techniques for the manager that will hook others in to accepting change, positively, and to finding creative ways forward. No manager should be without this kit!

What are the learning outcomes?

As a result of attending the session, individuals will be able to:

  • Judge how to work positively with others’ emotions and turn them into actions
  • Demonstrate how to bring together others’ perceptions and contributions to initiate change
  • Identify how to unleash individual creativity and build energy towards change
  • Describe how to use simple change processes to keep people focused and feel valued

What are the topics?

  • Understanding the nature of change
  • Using Sads and Glads to harness emotions at the start
  • Facilitating the ‘end of the journey’ picture, using the visual explorer technique
  • Melting and re-freezing the change ice-cube
  • Creating a force field to plot change
  • How to think differently to generate possible options for change
  • Getting the best of working with Deliberate Avoiders, Willing Adopters, and Lukewarm Allies

How will delegates learn?

This is a highly practical and participative day, using demonstration and simulation, practise with multiple aids, and action learning groups.
