Entry requirements

A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade D which must include Maths (grade 3+), English (grade 3+) and Science.

Duration

One year.

What will I study?

The theory and practice of basic plumbing skills:

  • Safety in Plumbing Activities
  • Plastic, Copper and Steel Pipework
  • Jointing Techniques
  • Basic Hot and Cold Water Systems
  • Effective Working Relationships
All students will be expected to work towards completion of the GCSE English and/or Maths qualification (as required) alongside this course to enable progression onto Level 2.

What could it lead to?

On completion of this Diploma students can progress onto the next level or go on to find employment in order to transfer to an apprenticeship, and then onto higher level courses in Construction.
