Administrative roles exist across all industry sectors. Every business, large or small, needs administrators who can provide quality support in a variety of different departments. For example, you might work in a medical practice, hospital or an educational environment in a secretarial, personnel, accounts, purchasing or IT role.
By completing an Apprenticeship in Business Administration you will enhance your administrative skills, improve your efficiency and performance and become a valuable team member. This will demonstrate to an employer that you have gained the right knowledge and experience to help in their business and encourage them to invest in you and your career.
Intermediate (Level 2) Diploma in Business Administration

Most candidates start on an Intermediate Apprenticeship and progress to an Advanced Apprenticeship although the level may be determined by the role in the workplace and previous qualifications.

To start the course you must be employed in a relevant role for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
In addition, for an Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2) you will have a minimum of 3 GCSE’s at grade D or above to include English and Maths. Completion of the Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2) is required prior to starting the Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3).
Delivery of this apprenticeship is through a combination of on the job and off the job learning and attendance at college as follows:

There will be three mandatory online tests for each level of the apprenticeship and also the students gather evidence for a portfolio from their place of work to match their chosen units.
They will also have regular reviews, observations and professional discussions with assessors in the workplace, which will be tracked against relevant units. Students will be required to complete written ‘Unit Knowledge’ to cover the understanding of the unit theory.
The Functional Skills are assessed through on-line tests.
Intermediate Level 2) takes one year to complete.
Advanced (Level 3) takes 18 months to compete.
