Spring is in the air and Pathway to Work and Independent Living students at York College have been working hard to make and merchandise ‘eggstra-special’ gifts to sell at their annual Easter Sale.
As part of their qualification, the Sale is a great opportunity for the Pathways students to demonstrate important work skills whilst organising, preparing and hosting their Easter-themed event.. The experience has enabled them to work on their communication skills, teamwork, customer service and money skills.
Using a range of materials and equipment, the students enjoyed making handmade and beautifully presented Easter gifts, ensuring the items are attractive and appealing for the customers to buy. They are also serving up ‘eggceptional’ cakes in their Easter-themed café.
The proceeds from the Pathways Easter Sale will go towards the students’ summer trip.
