Music students at York College had a fantastic opportunity to receive help and guidance from York University music lecturers when they spent the day at the Sir Jack Lyons concert hall performing their A Level Music pieces.
During the music masterclasses the lecturers critiqued and fed back with extremely useful advice to individual students on how they could improve their pieces prior to their A Level performance assessment taking place at the National Centre for Early Music (NCEM) in York.
Out of the nine music students studying A Level Music at York College, eight students are progressing to Higher Education to study music, having received offers at top conservatoires and universities.
On the evening of A Level music assessments, the students are looking forward to giving a recital performance at the NCEM - on Wednesday, 25th April at 7.00pm.
Emily Thorp, Team Leader for Music at York College says: "The NCEM recital concert will be a great evening of high quality music to showcase the hard work and talent of our music students."
