The new £60million York College building offers state of the art sports facilities for hire to the public. Facilities available to hire:

Synthetic turf pitch (STP)
One of only two 3G pitches in York. This surface gives a much more natural bounce than the old sand based astro turf pitches and has playing characteristics more akin to natural turf.
The pitch is designed with football in mind but can also be used for rugby and hockey. The STP is available for hire as the whole pitch or in thirds.

Only certain footwear can be worn on this pitch - Astro trainers and moulded studs are acceptable, no blades or metal studs.

Sports Hall
This double sized sports hall is one of the best in York. At 27m width x 34m length and with a sprung floor this facility can be used for a number of sports:
Cricket
Indoor cricket court ideal for indoor cricket matches. (20.12m x 3.05m)
Four Cricket Nets.
Badminton
Six courts. (13.4 x 6.1m)
Volleyball
Two courts. (18m x 9m)
Netball
One court. (30.1m x 15.25m)
Basketball
One regulation sized court. (28m x 15m)
Two practice sized courts. (25m x 14m)
Table Tennis

Multi Use Games Area (MUGA)
The MUGA is not a floodlit facility so is only available for hire during the day in college holidays and throughout the summer months on an evening. Sports the MUGA can be hired for are:

3 courts.

Opening times
All sports facilities with the exception of the MUGA are available for hire during the following times:
Monday - Friday: 16.30 - 21.30
Saturday: 09.00 - 17.00
Sunday: 10.00 - 17.00.
All hiring of outdoor facilities is subject to weather conditions and surface conditions.
