York College recognises the essential role that Apprenticeships play in today's business world, ensuring that the workforce has the necessary skills to remain competitive, even in difficult economic circumstances.

As part of York College’s commitment to the dementia care agenda, we are proud to announce Dementia Awareness Month - February 2012.

During Dementia Awareness Month, the College's Business Development Team is supporting the dementia agenda in a number of ways by holding free dementia information sessions for the general public. The sessions are aimed at those with no formal training and who may have family of friends who are affected by dementia.
York College is also launching another exciting addition to its training portfolio; an online NCFE L2 Award in Awareness of Dementia. This engaging and user friendly course allows learners to study with flexibility, in a cost effective way. The dementia training courses for work force development can be delivered in three different ways; face to face, distance and online learning. The College hopes the training options will suit your business needs. Feel free to contact York College and be one of the first to explore how this new training could provide solutions to your needs.
