Seminar/Training Facilities

Rooms 1F024 and 025 combined can seat up to 30 delegates in boardroom, or 60 in theatre style, while room 1F019 has 8 PC’s for IT training.

Other classrooms and meeting rooms within the college featuring a full compliment of AV equipment can also be made available, plus the Lecture Theatre which will seat up to 80 delegates. Catering can also be provided for any event.

Synthetic Turf Pitch
The synthetic turf pitch will be available for hire in either thirds or the entire pitch.

Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA)
Sports that the MUGA can be hired for are:
Netball: 2 courts.
Tennis: 3 courts.
NB: MUGA is not a floodlit facility so is only available for hire during the day in college holidays and throughout the summer months on an evening.

Sports Hall
At 27m width x 34m length, this facility can be used for a variety of sports:
Cricket: Indoor Cricket court: (20.12m x 3.05m), Four Cricket net areas
Badminton: Six courts in total (13.4m x 6.1m)
Volleyball: Two courts (18m x 9m)
Netball: One court (30.1m x 15.25m)
Basketball: One official 3m team basketball area (28m x 15m). Two practice basketball areas (25m x 14m)

Availability for hire (with exception of the MUGA):

Monday-Friday 16.30 - 21.30
Saturday 9.00 - 17.00
Sunday 10.00 - 17.00

All hiring of outdoor facilities is subject to weather conditions and surface conditions.

Ashfields Restaurant

The college restaurant is situated on the ground floor of the central atrium. It is open for lunch from 12noon to 1 pm, Monday to Friday and for dinner from 6.30 - 7.30p.m on Monday to Thursday. It can also be hired at other times to host for example networking events and to provide hospitality during an event elsewhere in college.

Hair, Beauty & Spa

The Spa is also located on the ground floor off the main college atrium. Our modern facilities include: a spa which houses a UV solarium, sauna, steam capsule and hydrotherapy bath and we only use professional products.

Our facilities are run as a realistic working environment to facilitate learning and can be made available for external hire by prior arrangement.

Alan Ayckbourn Theatre

Designed to be a flexible auditorium, the Alan Ayckbourn Theatre can be adapted for a wide variety of performance spaces, for theatre, dance and music events.

Seating of up to 200 (dependent on performance style), in addition to new state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment, makes this an ideal addition to the range of theatres and performance venues in York.

It is also available externally to host both rehearsals and performances.

Yorkshire Rail Academy

In York City Centre, there are also facilities available for Hire at the Yorkshire Rail Academy.

Situated in the heart of York adjacent to the National Railway Museum, whilst specifically designed to support the rail industry, this centre's facilities will also meet the needs of a wide range of companies and organisations. If you are looking for a venue to run your training events, conferences and meetings, you may wish to hire one of the state of the art and fully equipped training / meeting rooms. A hospitality service is also available with a choice of menus to suit your requirements and budget.

The centre’s modern facilities include:
