At York College we still have a number of places available for September 2017 entry in Clearing and we welcome applicants who wish to apply at this time.
‘Clearing’ is what universities and colleges call the extended application period where available higher education courses are open to students who, for various reasons, have not yet decided where they want to study their degree.
Once students have found out whether they have the grades they need to meet the requirements of the university or college they wish to study at, those who don’t get the grades they need will look elsewhere using the Clearing system. Other reasons, such as a student deciding they don’t wish to study away from home, means they decline an offer they’ve been made and look again via Clearing.
