Accord Mentoring Scheme
York College managers and professionals joined with other employees from a variety of public sector and publicly funded organisations in North Yorkshire when they were highly commended for an innovative mentoring scheme at the prestigious National Training Awards 2007 held in Leeds.
The Yorkshire Accord Mentoring Scheme has benefited 84 people in training and development of mentoring skills, networking and broadening understanding of other organisations and ways of working. The mentees taking part in the scheme have benefited from increased confidence and clarity.
Says Graeme Murdoch, York College scheme coordinator: “The Yorkshire Accord Mentoring Scheme has enabled us to share good practice, broaden perspectives and introduce new ways of working. Employees have been motivated and challenged; they have found new confidences and discovered more objective and strategic working practices. All of the organisations involved in the scheme are delighted to be recognised for excellence in training.”
Anyone interested in finding out more about the Yorkshire Accord Mentoring Scheme should contact them through their website.
